What Users Say About Us
Hey guys ! I got a 2013 model Hilux extra cab.
I put a quality aftermarket brand, light weight three inch lift under it thinking it was gonna ride nice with the soft suspension, I did a trip In it an it was that jarring in the back end that I couldn’t sit in the car !
My brother has a 2011 model Hilux with three inch as well and he had Fred’s coil up grade not long after he got his lift kit for his big tool boxes an it rides really well !!
So I rang Fred’s up an asked them if the coils will take all the jarring out an he said it’ll ride softer then the factory Toyota spring !! So I went and had it done, and it really would have to be the best thing I’ve done to the ute !! It’s like driving a 200 series landcruiser !! Highly highly recommend them really good service and great blokes thanks boys !
Our 2009 Holden Colorado 4WD Dual Cab was a fairly rigid and harsh car to ride in, and the rear leaf springs were sagging at just 60,000 kms.
With an around Australia trip planned towing a 2.5 ton caravan we decided to look at options to improve our cars suspension. We wanted a smoother ride, a slight increase in ground clearance, something that could take the extra load of the caravan but not be harsh to ride in when the car is not loaded up.
We looked into several different options including airbags, we decided that the Comfort Suspension setup was the best option for us.
The boys came to our house to fit the new suspension and I was extremely impressed with their knowledge, equipment and the quality of workmanship. We had rear coils installed, 4 new Oztec shock absorbers, new greasable shackles and the front torsion bars adjusted to the correct height in just a couple of hours.
We are very happy with the way the car rides now, it is much more comfortable and holds the road really well.
We’ve done a fair amount of driving on gravel/dirt roads since fitting the suspension in October 2013, and I feel much more comfortable with the way the car handles. The car also looks great with an extra 50mm of ground clearance.
After 40,000 kms including nearly half of that towing a caravan through outback Australia, I have no hesitation recommending Fred’s 4WD Conversions to anyone who wants to improve the handling and ride of their 4WD.
Just wanted to let you know how my 2010 Landcruiser ute is going after you fitted the rear coils, although I already had upgraded leaf springs fitted to the ute the ride is now better when the vehicle is empty, I have since had the boat loader/luggage rack fitted to the top of the canopy, we have been away a few times now with boat on top, rear canopy loaded with gear, both fuel tanks full and water tank on ute full , van loaded with a ball weight of 350KG and the ride is still very good, the ute still sits nice & level, also now I have no need for the distribution hitch which is great when I need to go off road with the van
I would recommend your coils to anyone
